Description: This is the second St Mungo’s development undertaken by OSM, reinforcing our ongoing partnership with this incredible charity.
St Mungo’s appointed OSM to carry out a full conversion, extension, and loft conversion of a three-bedroom Brighton terrace, transforming it into an 8-bedroom HMO designed to provide safe and comfortable accommodation for their clients.
The scope of work included:

Description: OSM were appointed by Eastbourne Community Land Trust (ECLT) to deliver a five-home scheme on a former garage site, taking the project from the planning stage through to detailed design.
The brief was clear—eco-friendly, affordable homes. OSM, working closely with the design team and client, developed a SIPS (Structural Insulated Panel System) build that prioritises sustainability and energy efficiency.
The key design features include:

SIPS construction, ensuring high thermal performance and airtightness

Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) for sustainable heating and hot water
-
Triple glazing to enhance energy efficiency and reduce heat loss
With the detailed design now complete and signed off, ECLT intends to instruct OSM for the construction phase as soon as funding permits. A forward-thinking project designed to provide affordable, low-carbon homes for the local community.

Description: This mixed-use development in Littlehampton required a full new build extension to an existing bank building, delivering both commercial and residential spaces. Working closely with the private developer, OSM Construction took on the challenge of demolitions, groundworks, and a full structural build spanning ground, first, and second floors.
From demolition to completion, our team ensured the project was delivered to the highest standard, creating a modern, functional space that supports both commercial and residential needs in the heart of Littlehampton.

St Mungo's, Rough sleeper/emergency accommodation

Client: St Mungo’s Homeless Charity
Description: We’re incredibly proud of this project, not only because of the vital work St Mungo’s does in supporting people experiencing homelessness but also due to the challenge it presented.
With an 18,000 sq ft hostel in urgent need of full renovation, St Mungo’s set an ambitious deadline of just four months. The project was critical—another hostel was being de-camped, meaning there was absolutely no margin for delay.
OSM took on the contract, and worked tirelessly, completing a full internal decoration, new flooring throughout, kitchen and bathroom refurbishments and replacements, an much more.
The result was a fully upgraded, modern, and welcoming space that St Mungo’s can proudly offer to its clients.
