Founded in 2017, OSM Construction Ltd is a family owned and operated construction company, that specializes in Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) which provide modern and contemporary solutions to a wide range of construction projects.
Our goal is to work with you to develop a high quality, efficient and environmentally sympathetic build, with as minimal time on site as possible. Utilising modern techniques, and more traditional methods when called for.
From our base in West Sussex we have overseen a number of projects on a national and local scale, for clients ranging from private developers and retailers to manufacturers and local authorities.
Our aim as a company is to promote the use of alternative, sustainable build systems. We believe strongly that these systems are critical to the UK achieving sustainability targets within construction and easing the housing crisis.
The MMC industry is an exciting and growing sector. OSM have experience in researching and implementing new as well as tried and tested build systems. A forward-thinking attitude, coupled with the extensive range of products and services, OSM is able to offer a diverse range of sustainable solutions for any project and budget.
The directors of OSM lead from the front and with both having previous careers in the military they bring the ethos and principles of the Royal Marine Commando’s to every aspect of the company:

Core team
Daniel Whittaker
Director
Daniel founded OSM in 2017, and has been in the construction industry since leaving the Royal Marines in 2010. Starting in site a management role, he moved on to contract management and further into project management and has built a wealth of knowledge in the traditional and Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) industries.
James Whittaker
Director
James, having left the Royal Marines in 2009, progressed into a project management / development role whilst concurrently managing a shipping container supply and conversion company. From this position he managed the design, supply, and installation of multiple container schemes. In 2018 James joined OSM and sits with Daniel as joint owner and director.
James Goodburn
Finance Manager
James controls the day-to-day finance function and has been with the company since inception in 2017. Having been in construction for over 8 years he brings a wealth of knowledge as to the workings of construction business finance. As a Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians, James is able to use his knowledge and expertise to help OSM develop and grow as a company.
